Next Safety has developed the most efficient respirators available.

Next Safety’s highly efficient respirators filter contaminants including extremely small particles <25 nanometers, the size of the rhinovirus that causes the common cold. Testing has shown that larger particles, approximately 100 nanometers, the size of influenza A subtypes, are filtered at an efficiency up to one million times (depending on particle size) higher than other respirators.
In independent tests, Next Safety’s 8500 and 8400 series respirators achieved filter efficiencies where more than 99.999999999 of 100nm size particles were removed. The company is not aware of any other respirator available that achieves these results.
The bPure™8000 series respirators could be the most effective air purifying respirators available for protection against pathogens and contaminants. The sealed positive pressure masks provide an additional level of protection against inflow compared to passive face masks. Passive masks allow ingress of unfiltered air when the mask does not seal against the user’s face. This can be a major point of failure for passive masks. In contrast, Next Safety’s design eliminates this point of failure. Next Safety’s half-face positive pressure mask seals comfortably against the face, but in the event of maladjustment, the higher pressure of purified air inside the mask prevents contaminated outside air from reaching the user. With a wide variation in facial sizes and geometry, only an active respirator, such as Next Safety’s, is a viable candidate for pandemic planning and sub 2.5-micron air pollution.

Air quality has grown exponentially worse over the past two hundred years of industrialization and with it, a host of accompanying complications including asthma and emphysema, as well as cardiovascular conditions. [See New England Journal of Medicine report] The potential for a small, convenient, highly effective and affordable personal respirator in that market is substantial.
